Jill Celeste Gallery is a retail art gallery sharing space with Palate Café and Bar. The space is available for rentals after 6pm. Jill Celeste Gallery / Palate Café and Bar are only responsible for the rental of its space. All art exhibitions will be left intact for the event.

Capacity inside is 80 people. Capacity outside is 70 people, for a total of 150.

Jill Celeste Gallery / Palate Café and Bar rentals are $2800.00. In order to rent out the space to a private party, we must close to the public. Your rental fee will operate as a minimum tab: you will be served liquor, wine, beer, small plates, entrees and desserts from Palate Café and Bar. If you do not use the entire tab, we will still charge the full amount. 50% is due with application. A security deposit of $200.00 must be made by the rentee. It will be returned 48 hours after the event upon inspection of the venue by a staff member. Upon approval of the application, the 50% deposit is non-refundable. A date is reserved only upon payment of the 50% deposit. The balance of the rental fee and all other charges will be due three weeks (21 days) prior to the date of rental. This balance is also nonrefundable once applied 21 days before the event.

Jill Celeste Gallery/Palate Café and Bar will accept checks, Mastercard or Visa. All checks are to be made payable to Palate. The rentee should know that venue closing time is 12:00 AM, that is when all cleanup must be complete and all persons must be out of the building. In the event the rentee should want to extend these hours, prior approval is required, and an additional fee of $500.00 dollars per hour will be applied.

Jill Celeste Gallery/Palate Café and Bar has parking on the premises. There is a parking lot behind the building with over 100 available spaces; the door to our main hall can be accessed directly off this lot. Please inform your guests of this parking option in any printed invitation. Street parking is also available.

Available Equipment: XM radio and iPod input

Event Planner Responsibilities: The event planner may not begin setting up until 5:30p.m. Exceptions will be considered. Event planners are responsible for unloading, setting up, and reloading all their goods.

Any rented items or delivered goods (flowers, video equipment, etc.) must be signed for by the rentee or event planner. No Exceptions.

We do not allow outside food or drink to be brought into the venue, including but not limited to nonalcoholic beverages and dessert items. We have a liquor, wine and beer license.

House Rules: There can be absolutely nothing hung, nailed, or taped to the walls of Jill Celeste Gallery/Palate Café and Bar without the permission of venue personnel. Smoking is not allowed inside the venue. In the event of any damages occurring to any artwork or to the physical condition of any and all public space within Jill Celeste Gallery/Palate Café and Bar itself (walls), the rentee will be held responsible and will be billed accordingly. This includes, but is not limited to, scratches, nicks, breaks, or marks of any kind and electrical current overload.

Food, wine and beer: Palate’s menu and liquor/wine/beer list can be found online. We offer a food buffet only, it will be set up on the bar. It will be replenished as needed; we do not preset the number of menu items; however, you are welcome to set a cutoff time for food. Desserts remain in the dessert case until ordered by the slice. Wine is served by the glass only for private parties, we cannot accommodate ordering by the bottle. We do not allow catering/outside food, wine, nonalcoholic beverages or desserts. If it’s not on our regular menu, we cannot bring it in for your party. The only exception is wedding cakes.

The minimum tab: The minimum tab does not include 7% sales tax or gratuity. Gratuity is 20% of the minimum . On the evening of your event, if you order less than the minimum, we will still charge the minimum. We can keep track of the tab on our computer and close it anytime after you order the minimum. You are welcome to order more than the minimum. If you order less than the minimum during your party, you cannot buy food or wine at retail up to your minimum, nor can the gratuity for the servers or sales tax be used to meet your minimum. We must adhere to these guidelines if we are to continue to offer our business space for private events.
